That's right yesterday I ran two miles at the gym and then I ran another two this morning. I can't tell you how much better I feel. I just stare at myself in the mirror and think to myself that I am actually doing this! I'm losing weight, I'm running! Ok, it's only at 4.0 so it's more like a show jog, but I'm doing it and I will get faster!
I'm so glad to be getting into shape. Today I realized that if my family was in danger I would be able to run with them. I've had a fear the last couple of years that I wouldn't be able to run with my girls to safety if we were in danger. But now that I'm getting in shape we are all better off!
And today I realized how much I love my body! I have not liked my body at all for the past four years. But today? Today I love my body. My body that ran TWO MILES! My body that made two beautiful daughters! My body that takes care of them. My body that loves my husband. My body that cooks, cleans, drives, smiles...when we stop to think about it it's amazing at how wonderful our bodies are. How many things we are able to do with them. I finally LOVE my body! I'm grateful for my body and I want to do everything possible to take care of it!
On Sunday I weighed 250.8.
Only a few days until we weigh and measure.
Thanks for helping me and motivating me to take better care of myself.

Dynelle You ROCK!!!
I am so amazed by you! You've lost 39 pounds in the same time Kristy and I have lost eleven each. Well, I flet good this morning but by this afternoon I am wiped out. So I still don't exercise yet, but soon. I am focusing on eating right. And avoiding my husbands sabatoging ways. My pants are all tighter and I feel hideous. That keeps me doing good. I can't wait for the second trimester.
What am I eating? Basic boring stuff, everything sounds gross. Except Mexican. Darn Elizabeth's salsa. I wish I had that recipe and could eat it with celery sticks. That sounds good.
Dynelle keep it up, you inspire me. Kristy, lets hear from you.

An Entire Mile (complete without stopping)
I just thought you should know that I just ran a full mile.
A MILE!!!!!!
I felt so good the entire time. I just envisioned all the fat leaving my body...such an amazing feeling.
2 1/2 months til 5K, time is ticking!
I should also mentioned that it was 1% incline.
Oh and that for part of it I ran at 6.0

Chelsey's Birthday
I weighed in again this morning.
254.0
I lost 1.7 pounds since last week.
Kirk said it was awesome considering it was Valentines weekend.
Good I suppose, but I know I can do better. I only worked out once last week. It's incredibly hard to get a decent workout in with my current living conditions.
Which is why today I proudly joined the Las Vegas Athletic Club! For $23 a month I can take the girls to daycare and workout for 2 hours...everyday! I think it is the perfect solution. I can also participate in exercise classes and spin classes...yay!!! I'm going to workout tonight!
My new favorite meal is the Turkey wrap and Jason's Deli. Whole wheat tortilla, loaded with turkey, sprouts, and tomatoes I crave it all the time. With a side of fruit it's delicious and nutritious!
What are your favorite meals lately? How do you find time to workout?
Here's to a better week this week!
(I totally posted this on my family blog first without realizing it. How embarrassing!!!!!!)

down 5 more
So I weighed myself again today after one week.
I am happy to report that I lost another 5.5 pounds.
I officially weigh 255.7...WAHOO!
I feel so...accomplished.
I love the feeling of knowing I am doing something about my weight.
My goal this week is to walk 10,000 steps a day.
Yes, I am the nerd wearing around a pedometer.
Eating is a challenge for me because of my living circumstances.
I don't have many of my cooking dishes here.
We eat out or frozen foods a lot.
When I eat out I try to order the most healthy/lowest calorie option.
Or I just eat only a small portion of the meal.
When I eat frozen foods I eat a serving size that is 300 calories or less.
When you start reading labels you'll be amazed at what has loaded calories and what doesn't.
I eat fruits, yogurts, and string cheese as my staples or snack foods.
Exercise is key for me.
I've noticed the days I don't exercise I don't feel like eating as healthy.
I also feel more motivated and energized when I do exercise.
I would love to hear your measurements and weights on this blog. It's the 8th and I'm the only one who has posted this month...hint hint
